Randwick Sir Moses Montefiore

Montefiore required a flagship retirement care facility that could serve as a model to be adapted to environments and cultures both locally and internationally. We considered the longevity of the design as well as the ability to modify it without losing the brand’s identity.

The design of the building is based around common areas in the corners and middle of the building linked by a row of resident rooms described as a neighbourhood. Each neighbourhood has its own unique signage and theme. The building consists of both high and low care rooms for 276 residents and facilities include an indoor, heated therapy pool, hairdresser, retail shops, breakout areas and landscaped courtyards.
